All- electric Merc to be previewed at IAA
ANOTHER month, another limited‐ edition Ford Ranger, it seems, and Ford has no i ntention of s l owing down t he pace as i t aims to keep t he current bakkie range fresh in the lead‐ up to next year’s all‐ new Ranger.
The l atest edition to j oin the family is called the Ranger Stormtrak, and it’s set to reach our showrooms late in the third quarter of this year, with pricing to be announced nearer to the time.

Setting the new edition apart is a black mesh front grille with red i nserts as well as a black i nsert i n the l ower bumper, black decals on the bonnet and doors, black roof rails and gloss black 18‐ inch alloy wheels. You’ll also ind 3D‐ style ‘ Stormtrak’ logos on the lower front doors as well as on the tailgate.
W h i l e t h e R a n g e r Stormtrack can be ordered i n Sea Grey, Frozen White and Blue Lightning exterior colours, you’re probably going to want the exclusive new hue called Lucid Red.

I Na push to diversify its all‐ electric EQ line‐ up, it’s understood that an all‐ electric Mercedes‐ Benz G ‐ C l a s s b e a r i n g t h e E Q G moniker will be taking the stage as a concept to precede a fully electric off‐ road offering.

No performance data has been sourced for the all‐ electric Mercedes‐ Benz G‐ Class but it’s understood that lagship models may bear t he 560 and 580 badges, offering over 368kW from a 108kWh battery pack that is integrated i nto t he heritage model’s ladder frame construction. With this, it’ll boast a claimed range of 500km on a full charge.
