Solskjaer gets 3 more years

LONDON – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has signed a new contract at Manc hest e r United t o keep hi m a t t he club until 2024, with the option for a further year.

The Norwegian replaced Jose Mourinho when he was sacked in 2018 and had one year left on his current deal but has put pen to paper on new terms.

Solskjaer led United to second place in the Premier League last term and into the final of the Europa League and is hoping to bring silverware back to Old Trafford in the 202122 campaign.

It is an exciting time for Manchester United, we have built a squad with a good balance of youth and experience­d players that are hungry for success.

“I have a fantastic coaching team around me, and we are all ready to t ake t hat next step on our j ourney. Manchester United wants to be winning the biggest and best trophies and that’s what we are all striving for. We have improved, both on and off the pitch, and that will continue over the coming seasons.

“I can’t wait to get out in front of a packed Old Trafford and get t his campaign started.”
