How PUDEMO president evaded police

-

LOMAHASHA – President of the People’s United Democratic Movement ( PUDEMO) Mlungisi Makhanya evaded police by using routes within the sugar cane fields to reach the small Lomahasha town yesterday.

Makhanya said he had to do that to ensure that he fulfilled his wish of paying his last respects to one of his party members.

He made these remarks during the funeral service of the late Sifiso ‘ Mpostoli’ Masilela.

“I came by the sugar cane field route to reach here trying to outsmart the police. Lomahasha will remain one of the prioritised areas when we attain democracy. We have been informed that ‘ Mpostoli’ was still young and hasn’t married yet. This is hurting because he was still going to contribute to his family’s success and wellbeing. The youth should pursue his dream of seeing a freed country from the current system,” he said.

Also making remarks was Lomahasha Youth Leader Siboniso Mkhabela, who pointed out that all youth members, who died during the recent protests would have their names in the history book of the small growing town.

Hlobsile Sibandze, EFF Swaziland National Chairperson, urged the youth to continue with their fighting spirit and ensure that their dream of attaining a democratic elected government was realised. resulted in investors thinking twice about investing in the country. He said many investors who may have shown interest in the country were concerned about the current political situation.

He said though it may appear that the situation was now calm, it could be that the people were just afraid of the police.

Maseko said if the PM wanted to fix the economy, it was a good move but that this should be secondary in comparison to the political situation. He said the political turmoil could be fixed by promoting dialogue, especially now that the situation appeared to be calm.
