It is not over yet, ‘ Buffs’ warn Leopard
MHLUME – Young Buffaloes believe they can still defend the league with five games to go.
Buffaloes Coach S ab el oM ni si made these comments during a post match interview after seeing his side cruise to a 3- 0 victory over Milling Hot Spurs at Mhlume Stadium yesterday. “I am proud of the boys, they fought really hard for the win and we are happy we have another three points in the bag. I should say Milling were not easy, as they made us sweat for the full points,” said Mnisi.
Buffaloes’ next fixture is against the leaders Royal Leopard in week 27 of the MTN Premier League. They still have to play their pending fixture on Wednesday, where Buffaloes play Green Mamba and Leopard will face Manzini Wanderers.
When asked about defending the league title after Royal Leopard beat
Mbabane Swallows 2- 0 to cling on the top spot, he said;
“Look, our focus is on the league title, it’s not over yet, the league is a marathon so up until we play our last game we can not say it’s over,” he added.
He also pointed that he was proud of youngsters like Kwakhe Thwala and Mbongwa Matsebula who continue to perform above their average.
