MBABANE – A f i t a n d healthy body is not something you can get off the shelves, but it is built through hard work and dedication to exercise.
Today, 23- year- old Mfundo Dlamini, who went from being skinny to muscular in a space of two years is our feature.
Through bodybuilding, Dlamini managed to build 20 kilogrammes of muscle mass. If you are tired of being thin and want to build a physique you can be proud of, brace yourself for an inspirational story that will motivate you to become the best version of yourself.

What made you decide to start bodybuilding?
“Back in 2019, there came a point in my life when I wasn’t happy with my skinny body. With that in mind, I came across Simeon Panda’s popular bodybuilder page on Facebook and seeing his posts and quotes, I was really motivated and I started the journey of bodybuilding.”
What was your weight then compared to now?
“I weighed about 55 kilogrammes and currently I’m around 79 kilogrammes.”
What sort of challenges did you f ace and ho w ha ve y ou managed to overcome them?
“Firstly, it was the first COVID- 19 lockdown. The gyms were closed for about five months. It was very hard because I had no home gym equipment. I relied on basic bodyweight exercises.”
What is your training routine?
“I usually train six days a week from Monday to Saturday. I am a big fan of isolation exercises and

Dlamini from also supersets. On Mondays I do chest and biceps; Tuesdays its legs and triceps, Wednesdays its shoulder and back, Friday it’s the chest and biceps again then Saturdays is full body workout. I also incorporate stomach exercises.”
Tell us more about y our eating programme.
“I have cut off junk food. Occasionally, I have cheat days. Also, I have added a lot of protein in my diet. I usually drink four raw eggs in the morning and four in the evening. I’ll really work on my diet once I’m able to afford financially.”
What personal slo gan keeps you motivated?
‘ Just Lift’. That’s all that keeps me going. Regardless of what’s going on around you, just lift.”
What advice can y ou share with people who either want to lose weight or build a well- defined physique but don’t have the courage to start training?
“Obesity is really not good for the heart. I would advise them to cut fatty foods and start exercising by doing cardio.”

BABANE – Liberty Life Two were exceptional during the July edition of the ESRIC Business League. This is according to latest results which were copied to this publication yesterday. Liberty Two amassed a score of 72 to lead in the Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation ( ESRIC) sponsored competition.
The competition was played on July 21 at the Ezulwini Golf Course.
Initially, it was reported that ESRIC A were leaders with a score of 72 while Liberty Two were given a score of 57.
CORRECTED
Royal Swazi Spa Golf Director Kevin Connor corrected the error which was on their side.
“This was as a result of the scorecard not being completed correctly,” he briefly said.
So, the correct score for ESRIC A is 57. As a result of the error, Liberty Two were positioned 31st while ESRIC were first on the July edition.
