Leadership calling for ‘ Gawuzela’ – LaZwide

MBABANE – Nomalungel o Simelane, popularly known as LaZwide and wife to Siphofaneni MP Md u d u z i ‘ G a w u z e l a ’ Simelane has declared that her husband has been called to serve the people of Eswatini.

LaZwide said as a family they supported Simelane and believed in the course of his calling because he has demonstrated even before being elected to Parliament that his heart is with the people. She emphasised that what her husband was doing now began many years ago when he would go out to feed and clothe those that were needy.

“My husband has been a pillar of strength, not just in the family but also in our community and the whole country because he went out of his way to ensure that he serves the people. We never imagined that God would elevate him to the level that he is at now and we therefore fully support him,” she said.

LaZwide further highlighted the pain of waking up to the news that her husband had been labelled a fugitive from justice. She said her husband was not a liar and therefore he cannot mislead the people because he loves them and

has shown his love over the years.

She said though the political fights have affected their family, they would continue to stand strong because they have always known that he would always stand with the people.

“We are not happy and the situation has negatively affected us because even now we do not know where he is, even if we wanted to know it’s not possible for us since the situation is as it is. He is a Godfearing man and he is not a liar, he cannot be taken by the world so easily. He is a very deep thinker and we know that he has a plan in everything. Kubuhlungu kona kodvwa asinako kwesaba,” said LaZwide. Loosely translated to, “It is a painful situation but we have no fear.”
