ANZINI – From sad to good n e ws f o r e l i t e r o o k i e s Ti - nyosi.

Just after they woke up to saddening headlines yesterday morning in the Eswatini News sports section, where i t was r eported t hat t heir defender had his right leg amputated this week after a shooting allegedly by the police over a purported curfew breach, Tinyosi came off their hive to rise above f ourt h- pl a c e d Manzini Wanderers and inflicted a 10 defeat on them. It was the opposite for Wanderers in the newspaper headlines though, as the Eswatini News had reported that they were paid a month’s salary after going two months without pay and recently two strikes ahead of games. However, that did not motivate them enough as they went on to lose the match when they are fresh from a 3- 1 drubbing by leaders Royal Leopard.

It is all thanks to a second half strike by Njabulo ‘ Koko’ Gama, which did n o t o n l y e a r n t h e m a h i s t o r i c a n d seventh win of t he season but also ensured they annexed four points out of a possible six points against the hub giants. In the reverse fixture played on April 18 this year, the two sides played to a 1- all draw.

The wi n a l s o meant Ti n y o s i a r e creeping slowly into the top eight as now they are two points away from leapfrogging Milling Hot Spurs, who are on 30 points on the eighth spot. Hot Spurs were upstaged 3- 1 by Tambuti at Mayaluka Stadium yesterday.
