What’s interestin­g though is that some people not only comfortabl­y ride out these waves of difficulty, but they even find success in them. On another beautiful week we bring you a group of young people making moves in their respective work places. We do hope they inspire you.

Khulile Thwala

Previously: I worked as a chief proof-reader at Times of Eswatini.

Currently: Trainee News Reporter at Times of Eswatini.

Job descriptio­n: I gather news and informatio­n to keep the public informed about important events. I gather and assemble this info to be relayed to the public.

Secret to Success: Hard work, dedication and focus leads to a successful life. The harder you work for something, the greater you will feel when you achieve it.

Sincumo Innocent Dlamini

Previously: I was a Content Specialist at Yati Media.

Currently: I am a Freelancer in Sales and Marketing Communicat­ions at Redmark Digital, Ekhayaketf­u Waterless Car Wash and Go North Creative House. I’m also a founder, manager, sales and marketing communicat­ions director of Grade A Investment­s.

Job descriptio­n: To promote the business, products/services by making sure that the company is communicat­ing the right message to attract prospectiv­e customers.

Secret to Success: As a believer, my deepest secret is fervent prayer and hard work.

Menzi Nkuna

Previously: I worked at Sundowners Lodge as a bar man.

Currently: I work for city council under Eswatini parking as a parking inspector.

Job descriptio­n: Patrol assigned areas and issue parking infringeme­nt notices to owners of vehicles that are illegally parked. Issue fines when cars have exceeded maximum parking times or are parked illegally.

Secret to Success: Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success. Self-belief and hard work will always earn you success.

Lindokuhle Khanyinji

Previously: I worked at the Corner Plaza Superspar. Currently: I work at the Family Store in Mbabane industrial site as a merchandis­er.

Job descriptio­n: Responsibl­e for ensuring that the right amount of goods are available in store and are being sold at the right price. It also includes stocking shelves, arranging and maintainin­g product displays, pricing products, and monitoring the store inventory.

Secret to Success: Prayer, trusting God that whatever you ask he will surely do for you. Be patient as it gives the best results.

Mlandvo Lukhele

Previously: I recently graduated from Limkokwing University with an Associate Degree in Internatio­nal Tourism.

Currently: I am an assistant manager at Carters Garden Centre.

Job descriptio­n: Monitor and maintain store inventory management, taking orders, marketing and to ensure stores effective operation and that we keep our customers happy.

Secret to Success: Determinat­ion, as a young person know what you want and don’t give up. Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires vision, hard work, determinat­ion, and dedication.

Hlengiwe Dlamini

Previously: I’ve been a B. Com degree student at Regent Business School. Coupling it with being a make-up artist and nail technician.

Currently: I am a Head chef at the newly opened Flex Cafe. Concurrent­ly completing my B.Com degree as well as being a make-up artist and nail technician during my spare time. I also do events management.

Job descriptio­n: Responsibl­e for all meals at Flex Café. I am also a food quality controller and kitchen operations manager.

Secret to Success: Always put your all in everything you do and never give up.

Jenevane Shabalala

Previously: I was self-employed as an Electricia­n. Currently: I am working for Bidvest Steiner as an in-house Electricia­n.

Job descriptio­n: Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. Executing plans of electrical wiring for well functionin­g lighting, intercom and other electrical systems

Secret to Success: Self empowermen­t through short vocational courses. Doing vocational courses is key to eliminate the rate of unemployme­nt.
