-

MBABANE - Analysis of import numbers reported in the month indicates that invoices from energy products imports have increased to a total of E390.7 million last month.

This is higher by 13.1 per cent when compared to July 2021 and upper by 16.2 when compared to August 2020. Fuel imports came solely from South Africa in the month, as there was no need for alternative sources, following the stabilisation in the political unrests both in South Africa and Eswatini.

Government had relaxed restrictions on import of fuel from Mozambique following scarcity necessitated by the unrest in both countries.
