Baceth Hardware, govt nominated in Customer Service Awards

MBABANE – Baceth Hardware and the Eswatini Government have been listed as nominees in the 2021 Eswatini Customer Service Excellence Awards.

This was revealed during the announceme­nt of the nominees by Dr Oliver Museka, the chief organiser of the Eswatini Customer Service Awards, on Wednesday. “Customer centricity should be a strategic and competitiv­e advantage for every business,” said Museka when introducin­g this year’s nominees.

The Eswatini Government is nominated under the ‘Best Use of Social Media’ category, while Baceth Hardware is nominated under ‘Customer Centric Small Business of the year’.

Also notable was that MTN Eswatini had the highest number of nomination­s, with seven nomination­s bagged.

The categories MTN was nominated under include Best Applicatio­n of Technology, Efficient Utilisatio­n of Multichann­el Support, Customer Centric Corporate of the year, Contact Centre/ Service Centre of the year, Best Use of Social Media, Technical Support Team of the year and Customer Commitment Award: Large Corporate.

The awards ceremony will be held on October 15, 2021. The preceding activities include the Internatio­nal Customer Service Week, which will run from October 4 to October 8, 2021.

The chief organiser said businesses were expected to appreciate the employees who worked with customers and encourage them to deliver the best customer service.

“The growth of a business rests on quality and power of customer experience, we urge companies to do right by their customers,” said Museka.

During the announceme­nt he also highlighte­d that they were planning to launch the Eswatini Customer Services Profession­als Associatio­n, which should be a platform for customer service profession­als to network, share experience­s and interact.

The award committee has strategica­lly partnered with the Youth Revolving Fund to steer customer centricity in upcoming entreprene­urs and also partnered with the Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA).

It was also revealed that the nominees were nominated by the public on the basis of excellence in customer service.
