“Remember to enjoy the journey of life. Don’t be so hung up on getting to the finish line that you miss the journey of getting there”.

Letting Go Faith Davis, MBABANE – Deep house maestro Mistosoul’s ‘Do It’ song continues to make waves internationally.

The song was first released in August 7, 2020, and Mistosoul featured renowned vocalists in Mvelo and Semusa. A year later, Luca Morrone, who is well-known as Neapolitan Soul, has remixed the much loved song by house music lovers. Neapolitan Soul is from Italy and is the record label owner which signed Mvelo and Semusa this year on an exclusive contract with Neapolitan Records.

Released

It is worth noting that the remixed version of the song ‘Do It Lovely Remix’ still hasn’t been released, but is currently available on pre-order on streaming platform Traxsource. At the time of going for print yesterday, the song was in the top 10 pre-orders, charting at number six. The song is currently competing with the likes of Louie Vega, Muzungu, Anthony Sprunk, Soul Avengers and Mark Whites to name a few.

Speaking to the man himself in a telephonic interview, Neapolitan Soul said he first heard of the song last year which is when he reached out to Mistosoul on Facebook and the pair spoke about a possible collaboration.

“I heard that song for the first time in the summer of 2020 and then I chose to play it at a gig on the beach and I got great feedback from the dance floor already from the beginning of the track. So I felt in love for that, especially for the lead vocal. So then I tried to reach the singer and the producer, first of all to congratulate them, and to speak about collaborating together,” he said.

Neapolitan Soul further said he loved the song so much that he immediately signed singers Mvelo and Semusa to his label and for new releases which will be included in his next album.

He further added by saying: “But in spite of everything, my thoughts have always been focused also on the song for a new version following my vision for those voices. So I then started to work on the track with my partner Luciano, with a punchy groove with a gospel piano and then the idea was born, which ended with what was then the final release, our lovely touch!”

Available

The song will be available for pre-order on Traxsource until its release on October 9, 2021, where it will then be available on all major digital streaming platforms.

On the other hand, Mistosoul mentioned that he was lost for words and was humbled by the reception of the song. He went on to say that the collaboration was merely a step in the right direction which meant Eswatini music was just as good when compared to overseas music.

“People must be ready for more music as I have been working a lot in studio all year round,” he said.

Neapolitan Soul aka Luca Morrone was raised in Naples (Italy). From an early age he began to buy his first records of Soul and R&B (his main inspirations are all artists on the labels like Atlantic, Motown, Philadelphia International, WestEnd, Salsoul, Sam Records and Prelude).

In 2019, together with Luciano Gioia; they founded Neapolitan Soul Records, a record Label with a musical style that goes from the Soulful House, Garage, Deep to the Afro, Disco and Funk music.
