!Sooks to drop ‘Eva’ with SA’s Dwson
MBABANE – A collaboration from house music legends in the making.
This best describes emerging deep house and electronic music stars, !Sooks and Dwson, who recently came together to pay homage to Eva, the ‘Mother of Life’.
The collaboration is a thumping deep house marvel that could easily make the cut as the soundtrack to the Garden of Eden. The song marks the first collaboration between the two multi-award winning trail blazers, a cross- border and cross-cultural (Eswatini and South Africa) exhibition of the growth of electronic and dance music in Africa. The song will be released this coming Saturday on November 5, 2021.
Credentials
Cape Town-based producer Dwson (pronounced Daw-son) entered 2020 with just the right credentials to significantly step up the career he had been steadily building over the past five years.
The producer combined his musical talents with a work ethic that’s got a great deal to do with being raised on the Cape Flats. It was a well-deserved acclamation for an artist who was also making his mark on South Africa’s video and live arenas. October 2019 saw the video for Dwson featuring Sio’s ‘Nobody Else’named Best Music Video at the 2019 Dance Music Awards South Africa (DMASA), adding to the buzz that continues to build around the artist. It was his second DMASA - having been named Best Newcomer in 2018. Dwson has also played most of South Africa’s most highprofile live events including successive Cape Town Electronic Music Festivals, Oppikoppi, RedBull Music Academy, ULTRA, Rocking the Daisies, Synergy and Design Indaba.
