Ntandoyenkosi is new EWFA COO
MBABANE – There is a new sheriff in town.
The Eswatini Women’s Football Association (EWFA) has unveiled Ntandoyenkosi Hlatshwayo as the association’s new Chief Operations Officer (COO).
The unveiling ceremony was held yesterday afternoon at the Sigwaca House in Mbabane. EWFA Chairman, Bonginkosi Mhlanga, in the company of executive members Sabelo Dlamini, Lucky Dube and former Secretary General (SG) Aaron ‘Katalala’ Mavimbela welcomed Hlatshwayo and assured her of their support.
Pending the completion of the hiring process which took over three months, Mavimbela acted as the association’s communications officer.
Alignment
Mhlanga said Hlatshwayo would be the COO of the general secretariat in alignment with Article 44 of the EWFA Statutes. Her duty would be to carry out all administrative work for the EWFA, which includes implementing decisions passed by the General Assembly and Executive Committee in compliance with the chairman’s directive.
“We are happy to welcome Ntandoyenkosi Hlatshwayo as our new chief operations officer. She will handle all the administrative work of the association. I would also like to thank print and electronic media for collaboration with EWFA in marketing and promoting women’s football through their coverage,” Mhlanga said.
Devotion
Hlatshwayo assured her devotion and commitment to serving the association diligently and working hand in glove with the media in marketing and developing women’s football. She further assured going the extra mile in sourcing league sponsorship.
“My dream is to see local women’s football teams competing and further excelling in international tournaments. The major thing that is crippling women’s football is the lack of sponsorship. With the help of the executive members I will do all I can to scout for sponsors and that will help in improving the standard of play,” Hlatshwayo said.
The EWFA COO’s office is located at the Sigwaca House. She further pledged her reliability to members of the EWFA and of the media.
