Meanwhile, mystery surrounds the whereabouts of a Chinese woman, Wu Xueyu (36), who disappeared from her home at The Glen Township in Pigg’s Peak. She is said to have been unemployed at the time of her disappearance.

It is feared that she may have been trafficked somewhere. She is originally from Fujian, China.

According to a Chinese national, Owen, who also lived at the same place, Xueyu was picked up by someone on January 12, 2022.

Owen said he did not know who the person was.

He said when the unknown person arrived outside their house, Xueyu said she was leaving with the person.

However, she never returned and efforts to reach her have been futile. Owen also said he did not know anything else about her disappearance other than that she was nowhere to be found.

He was also asked if he believed she had left the country but he said she may still be in Eswatini, alive.
