MBABANE – Legendary and award-winning house music producer DJ Stokie has promised his fans he will be playing exclusive jams.

Having recently won Best Amapiano Male DJ Act at the South African Amapiano Music Awards, along with a E10 000 cash prize, DJ Stokie will be performing in the country for the first time.

The event is set to take place this Saturday (tomorrow). In a telephonic exclusive interview with this publication, DJ Stokie, whose real name is Setoki Mbatha, said emaSwati could expect nothing but a fire set during his performance.

Enjoy

“It will be my first time playing a set in Eswatini so what I can say is they can expect nothing but exclusives, which I am sure they will enjoy,” he said.

Without confirming, he said there were talks to make his set an hour and a half which would ensure his fans a good time while he was behind the decks.

While most entertainment venues are expected to have taken a much-needed break after a hectic festive season, Ekhayeni Chillaz has refused to adhere to this and continues to serve entertainment to the masses even in January.

The establishment’s manager, Eddie Shiba disclosed that he and his team were currently planning a series of entertainment events meant to keep the festive mood alive at the venue.

“First on the list is SA’s renowned producer DJ Stokie, who will be debuting his appearance at the venue this Saturday,” he said.

DJ Stokie is no stranger in the entertainment scene as he has given the masses a reason to dance with his amazing production and awesome deejaying skills.

His hit songs ‘i-Piano eSoweto’ featuring Daliwonga, ‘Superman’ featuring Kabza De Small and ‘Ama –international’ among others, are the reason he is now rated among the top Amapiano producers in South Africa.

DJ Stokie will be supported on the decks by Sbu De Drum DJ, Spice, SnoLove, Black Pearl and DJ Expo. Tickets to the show are already available on sale at Ekhayeni Chillaz in Matsapha, Sdeez in Manzini and Mbabane. Alternatively, the tickets can also be purchased from any of the artists on the line-up as they cost E100 (pre-sale) and E150 at the entrance.
