MBABANE - When Allen Mndzebele alighted from a motor vehicle with his trouser zip open while wearing shoes like push-ins, little did he know that his behaviour will raise suspicion from the police.

As a result, traffic police officers enquired and discovered that Mndzebele was driving the motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, while at KaMvubu in Ezulwini.

The officers of the law also noted that Mndzebele hardly walked as he dragged his feet as if they were heavy.

The police officers indicated in the charge sheet that Mndzebele was aggressive in that he refused to move from the roadway until he was compelled by Constable T Mamba.

He also failed to produce a driver’s licence when ordered to do by the police.

The police officers attended to Mndzebele after he had lost control of the car and knocked a concrete median.

Mndzebele was sentenced to 10 months imprisonme­nt with an option to pay a fine of E1 200 for driving on public road while under the influence of alcohol. He parted with E500 for negligent driving.

In the same court, Thembelihl­e Dlamini was sentenced to six months imprisonme­nt with an option to pay a fine of E800 for driving on public road

Mzwandile Nkonyane who was also charged for drink-driving.
