M– Tambankulu Callies Director, Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba says a baptism of fire awaits Mbabane Highlanders today at Tambankulu Stadium.

Mamba said losing at their ‘slaughter house’ was a criminal offence, and the players knew it very well as this was stated on their contracts.

“This is a do-or-die game for us, and we are ready to welcome Highlanders to Tambankulu Stadium for the first time. We have never beaten them, so this time around we are definitely going for a kill, as we are tired of being whacked by them,” Mamba said.

M– Denver Sundowns players have shunned the team’s activities over unpaid salaries.

A source close to the Mark Carmichael-owned side revealed that the players met and decided not attend training until they were paid what was due to them.

The source said the players boycotted training on Wednesday, and have promised that they would not go to training again yesterday.

Tambankulu Callies Chairman Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba.

He said on paper ‘Inkunzi’ were a better side, but today ‘BoBhejane’ would be the game.

“I can declare a win against Highlanders as they can’t beat us here,” he declared.

He also said that they were fortunate that all the teams above them were waiting for the baptism of fire. the winners

“We want the team that will play in Africa to tell others about Callies as a strong side that beat them,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mbabane Highlanders Managing Director (MD), Chief Ally Kgomongwe, said the comments made by his friend would make him come down to Eswatini to silence him today.

“As long as I am around, Callies will not beat us. Now that my good friend has said this,

salary, as they could no longer accept that even this month they have not received a cent for their salaries.

They did not go to training on Wednesday and they will not attend today (yesterday) until all what is due to them is paid,” the source said.

An official inside the Ikappa Kappa camp confirmed that the players were demanding what was due to them by the club.

“The players have boycotted training and they told me that they would not attend the game against Swallows,” the official said.

I’m thinking of coming for the game,” Kgomongwe said.

He said his biggest worry was that if he could not make the trip to the country, they might lose the game to the Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane-led charges.

“Having said that, we are ready for the game,” he said.

Prepare

Kgomongwe said that before their game against Royal Leopard, he would arrive in the country a week before to prepare well for the game.

“I have noticed that when I arrive late for a game in the stadium, we usually lose games, but with the Leopard game, I will arrive on time,” he said.

He further said ‘Ingwe Mabalabala’ owed them three points, which they intend to bag and be crowned 2021/22 MTN Premier League champions.

“We have no director here at Vovovo as Mehluli left without saying a word. We are asking for donations from anyone to help us, as they took the playing kit branded Hlasela Zotha when they left. That is why we are now using the old Kappa kit,” Dlamini said.

He said the team was now under their watchful eye going forward, as they have no director currently. He also said they were stressed as to where were they going to get money to pay salaries for April.

“We are in a painful situation here at Vovovo, as we now live through hands-out; we are in deep trouble now as the month-end is drawing closer. We don’t know how the players would be paid,” he said.

Dlamini said they were taken aback by the comments that were made by the Head of Communications and Marketing Officer, Sandile ‘Ntofo’ Dlamini, on Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services (EBIS 1) Sports Show on Monday. The Communications Officer said the team would hold a meeting to sort out the issues that were affecting the progress of the Motshane-based side.

THE FOUR-MAN COMMITTEE:

“What meeting was he talking about? We as an Executive Committee of the team don’t know anything about it. We don’t even know where it was held and the issues discussed,” he said.

Seen

He allegedly said, Dlamini was last seen with the team during their game against Young Buffaloes at Killarney Sports Ground in Pigg’s Peak.

He also said if the meeting was held, why were he (Ntofo) and Nhlengetfwa not attending the team’s activities.

The Head of Communications and Marketing did not want to give comments on the issues raised by the official.

“I don’t have a comment bhuti (brother),” he briefly said before hanging up. Nhlengetfwa was unveiled as the co-director of the Motshane-based side along with the late founder and director Sipho ‘Tsetla’ Bhembe, at the start of the current season.
