MBABANE – ENACTUS Eswatini took a giant leap towards being future captains of industry when they were capacitated by ‘Africa for Tomorrow Consulting’ on personal growth and leadership.

The workshop took place at Small Enterprises Development Company (SEDCO’s) offices in Manzini. ENACTUS stands for Entreprenual Action for Us All. It comprises various business groupings from tertiary institutions around the country.

Africa for Tomorrow’s principal Consultant, Cynthia Mabaso said the programme was designed to help leaders reach their maximum potential and make a positive impact on those around them regardless of the environment they find themselves in. The programme was designed to equip leaders of the collective, in order for them to become great leaders, not only during their current roles but even after they have completed their studies and joined the workforce.

“This programme promotes personal growth, self-awareness and positive well-being. For ENACTUS students, this is the perfect capacity building initiative to assist them in not only fulfilling the global ENACTUS mandate to create a better, sustainable future for us all,” she said.

Trained

Adding, she implored that during the session, the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) were trained to become Facilitators of the Beyond Success Programme, pioneered by John Maxwell.

“This training enables the CEOs to lead their project teams by assuming the role of ‘Leader as Coach’. Upon completion of the initial training, the CEOs were expected to go back to their respective teams to launch the programme and facilitate the weekly sessions in groups of 8-10 participants,” she said.

In Eswatini, ENACTUS is made up of 13 tertiary institutions, including, but not limited to University of Eswatini, Eswatini College of Technology, Amadi University College, Gwamile Vocational Institute and others.
