The rivalry with Buffaloes is bitter, so bitter it gets physically ugly when these two meet. Players like midfielders Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze and Richard McCreesh will quickly recall the kind of rivalry between these two sides as they had been right in it before at
EMavuso Sports Centre.
Then the incident in which come goalkeeper Sandile ‘Nkomishi’ Ginindza, in their match at the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium last season, clashed with the Buffaloes stars and called them names.
Even the team officials have had physical confrontations, but one hopes this time football and fair play prevail as winners. These are two teams that have rose from a bad start to the season to title challengers through consistent results.

Buffaloes are high scoring with their latest win being a 3-0 win over Denver Sundows.
Attacking midfielder Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze is their main scorer with 23 goals now, two above Highlanders’ forward and Captain Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa as they race for the top goalscorer award. ‘Saviola’ will be one to watch in the clash alongside Kwakhe Tfwala.
