Mxolisi 20th, Sandile 56th, 87th IGGS’ PEAK – Seven Dreams are closing in on realising their dream of getting promotion to the MTN Premier League next season.

They need a point more but that may not be necessary if Hlatikhulu Tycoons lose or draw today against Young Movers. Tycoons have a pending match case against Mhlume Peacemakers which is before the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Disciplinary Committee (DC). The case favours Tycoons to get all three points and three goals as Peacemakers allegedly failed to have their venue ready for their fixture yet Tycoons pitched for the fixture. They have 48 points after the 3-1 win against Msumpe Manchester here yesterday. They are closely followed by Madlenya who won 2-1 against Nsingizini Hotspurs.

Tycoons can reach 48 points if they win all their four remaining matches. Seven Dreams are seeking their first promotion to the elite league after four years playing in the MTN National First Division League. The Mahlanya-based outfit were steered to the victory by Sandile ‘Mshina’ Dlamini who

scored a brace. Seven Dreams went to the game knowing that only a victory would increase their promotion chances and the players were ready to deliver from the onset.

Mxolisi ‘Gerrard’ Maseko could have scored in the 15th minute but he shot wide from six yards.

In the 20th, a deflected shot from Gerrard beat Manchester goalkeeper Banele Dlamini. Seven Dreams’ celebrations were cut short as Mathokoza ‘Tokyo’ Thwala equalised two minutes later. The game went for the break at 1-all.

Seven Dreams were the better side in the opening minutes of the second half and they took the lead four minutes from the hour mark through Mshina, who finished off a rebound from the goalkeeper who had made a double save before the ball was slotted in.

Mshina finished off his brace with three minutes before full time as he was allowed to take a shot inside the area and that was the end of it with Seven Dreams celebrating the victory.
