MBABANE - Business growth and youth empowerment is part of government’s strategic plan of reviving the economy.
Financial organisa tions and institutions are at helm in maNing sure that business pro jects are well funded, especially those initi ated by the youth.
7he 5egional Devel opment Fund 5DF has spent over E10 0il lion to support youth community and busi ness development pro jects at Lobamba.

7his money was spent on three projects, which included Buhlebelizulu
:ater Scheme, Con struction 3roject and
7rucN, plus a hardware store.
7he process of acTuir ing these was through an application process through the tinkhundla centres. ,n an interview On Friday, Lobamba Indvuna Yenkhundla, BheNisisa Bhembe con gratulated those who became successful after approaching the 5egional Development Fund 5DF this year. Bhembe said what was more appealing with those who benefited from the constituency this year was that young people tooN the initiative of uniting and developing business ideas.

³, would liNe to encourage other young people to come together and worN on ideas that will taNe them forward,´ he said.
Bhembe also said that some of them were graduates who graduated long time ago, but were failing to find jobs. He added that these young people were not only creating the businesses for themselves but also other people were going to benefit from them. ³Other people will get employment from construction to the end of it,´ he said. Bhembe revealed that the youth alone benefitted an amount of E4 924 464 apart from other community projects which benefitted in the same constituency.
7hese projects include the trucN and a hardware store worth E2 986 584, which will be constructed at Lobamba. Other projects that benefitted were community projects such as Buhlebelizulu :ater Scheme, which will cost around E5.3 million. Another community project that benefitted from the fund was a 5oad Construction 3roject which will cost E1 937 880. Bhembe then encouraged other young people to seize such opportunities and draft their proposals.
