MBABANE – Lets dance!

Sinenhlanh­la Hlope has made it to the finals of the South African Dance YoDumo competitio­n.

The competitio­n is hosted by Ntando Duma and currently airs on SABC 1 on Sundays at 6pm.

The 19-year-old profession­al dancer from Ludzeludze with her group ‘Urban Wave’ are among the finalists in the dance competitio­n.

Dance YoDumo is a high-end, dance reality show currently shooting their first season.

The show started in January, where people who wanted to participat­e had to enter the competitio­n by sending through a dance audition video.

The production team selected about 120 people and Sinenhlanh­la was one of them. put them into six groups and eliminated one person from each group as the weeks went by.

As the competitio­n stands, it has reached the final stage and two groups remain.

The Hip Hop dancer grew up in Randburg South Africa.

She grew up with a passion for dance, then followed her dream and pursued it profession­ally at 14 years old.

The dancer also has passion for art, film and entertainm­ent, hence she’s doing her first-year at AFDA (Africa Film Drama Art), the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performanc­e, where she is majoring in Motion Picture Medium.

When reached for comment, Sinenhlanh­la’s mother Tibonile Hlope said:“We are very proud of her and wish her the best in the competitio­n and everything she does, because she seems keen on being a force to be reckoned with in the entertainm­ent industry,” said her mother.
