“Be patient with yourself. Self-growth is tender; it’s holy ground. There’s no greater investment.”

Covey Stephen MTN BUSHFIRE 2022 SURVIVAL GUIDE COVID-19 Safety:

COVID-19 is still with us, so please bring your most colourful masks and wear them when moving around the grounds. Please make use of the numerous sanitising stations and heed the guidance of the COVID-19 Safety Marshals – they’re here to remind us to keep ourselves safe.

No vaccination certificate no entry:

Make sure to bring valid proof of vaccination against COVID-19, so as to gain entry to the festival grounds; a valid ticket alone will not be enough. All festival-goers over the age of 18 are required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to gain entry to the festival. Festivalgoers aged 12-17 must provide proof of vaccination if available in their country of origin; otherwise a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of entering the country will be required (for Eswatini, proof of vaccination is required from ages 12+). Children under 12 do not need to provide proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test.

The festival venue, House on Fire, is located between Mahlanya and Malkerns on the MR27 Road, off the MR103, about 23km from the capital city, Mbabane, and a short 14km from Ezulwini.

The campsite has been relocated to a much larger space, so be sure to familiarise yourself with the map! Check-in is now situated at the cane field near the Glam-camping Tent Hotel entrances. To avoid traffic congestion outside the festival gates, please follow the yellow camping road signs for a clearer route that comes into the camping checkin point from the Malkerns direction. Campsite check-in opens 11am today. Please note that vehicles will not be allowed in the campsite, except for the Family Camping Zone and the Camper Vehicle Zone, which are the only two zones where campers can bring their vehicles. A large, secure and separate parking area will be available for campers to leave their vehicles in.

For the comfort of your fellow campers, please note that generators are not allowed in the campsite either.

To assist in ensuring festival guests stay safe on the roads during the festival weekend, MTN Bushfire has partnered with TOTALEnergies and the Sincephetelo MVA Fund to provide the Park n’ Ride service, which allows fans to take a shuttle and travel between selected central destinations and the festival. Not only does this help to decrease the levels of drinking and driving, it also helps to limit traffic congestion on the roads leading to MTN Bushfire, and lessens the impact of carbon emissions. Check out and download the schedule from our website!

Festival-goers are reminded that they are not allowed to bring alcohol, food or cooler boxes into the festival arena.

Campers: Park n’ Ride: Reminder: MBABANE – Only 50 per cent capacity will be allowed at this year’s MTN Bushfire festival due to COVID 19 regulations.

The last global festival was held in 2019 before the deadly pandemic hit, hence this year, only half the venue’s capacity will be allowed due to the health regulations.

All official tickets to the MTN Bushfire festival have sold out on all platforms. The winner of the Most Responsible Event Award at the African Responsible Tourism Awards in 2017, and hailed by CNN as one of the “7 African music festivals you really have to see,” MTN Bushfire is looking forward to ‘Reigniting The Fire’ in the beautiful, peaceful valley of Malkerns, in the Kingdom of Eswatini, for an energising threeday weekend from May 27 to 29.

In true MTN Bushfire style, the electric and exciting line-up this year features a host of pan-African

Mand international artists from across different genres; acts like Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Don Laka, Ihhashi Elimhlophe, Tresor, The Ndlovu Youth Choir, Sands, DBN Gogo, Khole, and Mpho Sebina, who do more than simply entertain, but use their art as a powerful form of creative expression.

Festival-goers can anticipate exploring the many strands of the wholesome and family-friendly tapestry of the MTN Bushfire at the Global Food Village, Barn Marketplace, Bring Your Fire Zone, KidZone and more!
