Mbabane Highlander­s legendary winger Khayelihle ‘Karas’ Dlamini said.

He commended the organiser Nathi Dlamini for the planned June 29 homecoming game to involve a lot of big names, some who were still active in the elite circles of the game. He said they now had to look up to Tambankulu Callies in the MTN Premier League who he said were also on a good course after a stellar season as they are set to finish in fifth position.

“I was born and raised in Mhlume. Basically, my footballin­g career was launched at Mhlume, from being a member of the under 13 squad, I rose through the ranks to eventually being a member of the first team (Mhlume United, later RSSC). I only left the place when i was snatched by Highlander­s in 2006,” Karas who will feature for Mhlume on the day said.

He will be alongside his former Highlander­s teammate Sipho ‘City’ Sibandze, ex-Royal Leopard star and quadruple winning coach Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane who coaches Callies.

Mhlume versus Simunye social game of charity are Green Mamba Coach Ernest Mavuso, South Africa-based Milton Dlamini, ex-Green Mamba and national team forward Mbuso Gina, Civil Matsebula, ex-Mhlambanya­tsi Rovers and Mbabane Highlander­s midfielder Mphile ‘Nyandoro’ Tsabedze, Bongani ‘Biggy’ Mvubu (Mhlume legend) and Mugabe ‘Gigg’s’ Makama (former Mhlume and Mbabane Highlander­s).

“It’s a big day, that will start in the morning till 5pm and we’re working on having Minister Madze and the Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini, as they could also play a big role in getting the two companies back into sponsoring football and revive the teams,” Nathi Dlamini who is the organiser said.

Nathi said they were also looking at having the Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Minister Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga feature in the social game for both sides.
