BABANE - The Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors face off in the 2022 NBA Finals.

The series will be a best-of-seven series, with the first team to win four games winning the 2022 NBA title.

Warriors have a liSwati in their coaching panel. Jama Mahlalela who manned his basketball skills in Eswatini and was coached by veteran baller and now current Basketball Eswatini Associatio­n (BASE) Vice-President, Bonginkhos­i ‘Dee’ Shabangu, holds the assistant coach position in the Golden State Warriors team. The head coach for Warriors is Steve Kerr.

Warriors beat Mavericks 4-1 after game five to set up a date with Celtics. In game one against Mavericks, they proved they meant business when they won 112-87 to make in 1-0.

Comeback

In game two they continued with their winning ways by beating their opponents 126-117. In the third match, three they won 109 to 100. Mavericks won game four 119-109, bringing hope of a comeback but it was not to be as Warriors wrapped it winning 120-110.

Action for the finals, begin today at 3am. Game two will be held on June 5 while match three is billed for June 8 with the next on June 10.
