He gave me 28 years of joy – wife

-

MATSAPHA - “My husband gave me 28 joyful years of deepest love, happiest marriage and true partnership that I could ever imagine.”

Deceased Deputy National Commissioner of the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) wife, Cebisile said this through her representative Nomcebo Dlamini.

She told those who had come to celebrate the life of her late husband, that she had the opportunity and rare privilege of being a wife and partner to a wonderful, loving, kind and God-fearing man.

“You gave me the experience of being deeply understood, truly supported, completely and earthly loved and I’ll carry that with me. Most importantly, you gave me four amazing children and one of them gave me a grandson,” Cebisile said.

Meanwhile, the wife shared that their journey of love started in August 1989 at Matsapha Police College, now known as Matsapha Police Academy.

She said she had gone there to watch football - the Commissioner’s Cup, and little did she know that this day would be the most memorable one throughout her life. “You were my rock. When I got upset, you stayed calm, when I was worried; you assured me that everything would be okay. When I wasn’t sure of what to do, you would figure it out. You were completely dedicated to our children in every way and you were their strength,” she said.

Cebisile stated that the past few days were the best sign that the deputy commissioner was there with them as a family.

MisunDerstanDings

She disclosed that they would sometimes have misunderstandings with her husband but what she liked most was that they would do it privately, without their children being involved. “They can attest to this, they had never seen us fight. They just know us as jolly parents always. You taught them to love unconditionally,” the wife said.

She went on to say she was definitely sure that they would also love their spouses unconditionally, care for them and never fight with them because that was what Masuku taught them.

“However, I pray that they do not find themselves having a tough time finding their lifetime partners, while still trying to search for one that is exactly like you,” she said.

The wife elaborated that Masuku believed in sharing and caring, and that he was a man who put smiles in people’s faces. She said he was full of life and was the biggest star in his own right. She appreciated her husband for teaching them unconditional love.

“Heartbroken as I am today, I am equally grateful, even in this darkest and sad moment of my life, because I know how lucky I have been in having the opportunity to share your dreams, hopes, love, friendship and more. Your spirit lives on, and it gives me solace to know that we will see each other again someday my love. Rest well Nhlane,” Cebisile said.
