Brace yourself for resistance - TUCOSWA

MBABANE – The gov ernment should brace itself for resistance if it will make the people repay the loans through increased taxes. This is the feeling of the Trade 8nion &ongress of Swa]iland T8 &OSW$ Secretary *eneral, 0du du]i *ina.

*ina said most decisions made in Eswatini were under a cloud of se crecy.

The government must brace itself for resistance from the taxpayers if they want to increase taxes for the purpose of paying back the loans.

PRIORITIES

$sked if he was happy with the pur pose for which the loans were made, he said seemingly, the country must put priorities in order.

*ina said the loans should be made for social developmen­t initiative­s to benefit the people.

WARNED

³They must be warned that if they continue to make such decisions for the people, there must brace them selves for resistance,” he said.

*ina said the country was lacking in strong governance.

³The productivi­ty of the country will be measured by the strong in stitutions which are involved in the running of the country. ,f the execu tive feels it is not accountabl­e to the public but the appointing authority, there will be a conflict of interests,” he said.
