Sir,
A lot of people think life is just about accepting the fact that their lives are controlled by the different events encountered on a daily basis. They don’t really recognise the fact that facing challenges does not have so much control over their lives, but how they react to such challenges determines their abilities to be in control during those challenges. Reacting to challenges requires one to be in control of his/her life.
It takes more than an effort to keep a balance in all the sides entailed in a human’s life, and people who have been able to keep a balance between the different life’s sides have been able to succeed in most aspects of their lives. A person’s attitude tends to play a major role in the balancing of one’s life; a positive attitude helps balance every side of one’s life and a negative attitude causes an imbalance.
Being able to make the right decisions will definitely propel one’s life to greater heights. Self-leadership is observed from the petty decisions one makes on a daily basis which eventually build up to major decisions, which in turn shape the future of a person’s life as well as affect those around that person, either negatively or positively. Usually having a negative attitude does not only damage one’s psychological side, but it also lessens one’s ability to positively react to any situation that one may face.
Self-leadership is not only about decision making but as well as personal development as a person develops in many ways. But in order to best develop oneself, a person should be able to develop his/her psychological self through developing certain areas of their lives which include developing their spiritual, emotional, academic, physical and corporate lives. This in turn helps in dealing with challenges and when coming up with appropriate decisions in decision-making.
Reading, watching and listening to constructive and positive content proves to be one of the most effective ways of developing ones psychological life. It helps one deal more effectively with challenges and helps improves a person’s decision-making skills.
