SWALIMO has become a farm - ‘Mdabula’

MBABANE – One of the founding members of the 6waziland /iberation Movement 6:$/IMO , Mbekezeli µMdabula¶ =ulu, has bemoaned the recent suspension of two District ([ecutive Committee D(C chairperso­ns.

=ulu said the 1ational ([ecutive Council 1(C was killing the organisati­on with the suspension­s. +e said they were turning the movement into a farm where the master does not want to be opposed.

=ulu, who recently shocked the political sphere when he announced that he formed the movement, said the current scenario was not part of the organisati­ons agenda at formation.

³6:$/IMO has become a farm right now and it makes me sad to even say the pot was better than the fire we are now jumping into. The 1(C is killing the movement.

LABELLED AS ‘TALIBAN’

+e further lamented the fact that those who are opposed to the leadership were labelled as µTaliban¶. +e said they were not rebels, but were calling for true democracy even from within the structures of the movement.

=ulu mentioned that he was concerned over the suppressio­n of freedom of speech among members of the organisati­on. +e said the leadership was suppressin­g views that were opposed to their own.

6:$/IMO is under the leadership of President Mduduzi µ*awuzela¶ 6imelane.

6peaking during a )amily Meeting programme on Thursday, 6imelane said there was a group of three men within the organisati­on who were determined to destroy the reputation of the organisati­on. +e said 6:$/IMO was being run according to resolution­s made and they were not going to be swayed by a group of rebelling members.
