Hlulabatsakatsi hires Channel Yemaswati ex-journalist

-

MBABANE – In a quest to strengthen his local connection, Cape Town based Apostle Joshua Moosa Mohlala has hired former Yemaswati Channel Journalist Zama Austin Nkambule, as his spokesperson.

Apostle Mohlala is widely known as Hlulabatsakatsi and is the founding pastor of South African mega church, Shekinah Healing Ministries.

Nkambule had been a part of Yemaswati Channel, formerly known as Channel S, for over eight years as a presenter and marketer.

Nkambule said he was excited over the prospect of working for a great man of God, who was making a difference in the lives of many people in the region. He said Mohlala was a very straightforward person who demanded honesty and truth from everyone working with him.

He highlighted that for now he would be working from the headquarters in Cape Town but would also assist in the setting up of the local branch.

He stated that he met Apostle Mohlala for the first time when he came to the country for a service at Bosco Skill Centre two weeks ago.

STRATEGIES

“I was part of the team that was preparing for the service and doing promotions. I worked closely with his son Prophet Nhlanhla Maseko, in the preparations. We were making online presentations and other marketing strategies to try and push the service and make sure that it was in the face of the people. He was following the promotions as we presented and I think he fell in love with what we were doing,” he said.

Nkambule further stated that he was expected to take care of the welfare of the pastor and also work on the image of the church to ensure that the excellent standard synonymous with Apostle Mohlala was kept. He said Mohlala made it clear that working in the church as a spokesperson was not going to be a walk in the park, as the church hosted different themed services every week.

His duties would involve the promotion of the services and improve

the brand of the church to ensure that more people attend services in all branches including the new branch in Eswatini.

“I met the apostle for the first time when he came to Eswatini two weeks ago and we took care of him and organised everything from the border post to the place where he was sleeping. Clearly, he must have loved what we did, hence he gave me such a task and I will forever be grateful for such an opportunity to serve him. The church and the apostle are simultaneously growing very fast and that echoes the need for a strong public relations team. The team that has been working for the apostle has done an incredible job and my will be very easy, since the specimen has already been laid,” he said.

He further stated that the local branch was in the process of establishment and the services had already started at the Bosco Skills Centre every Sunday at 10am.

Nkambule said Apostle Mohlala left the branch under the care of Prophet Maseko, who is one of his spiritual sons in Eswatini.

ANOINTING

“The services have begun and we want to invite people to come an experience the anointing of Shekinah Glory Ministries. The apostle will be coming in now and again to pray for people in the country. The reason behind the formation of the branch is that the church does not believe in being a fly by night church, but the intention is to build and establish Christians, until the coming back of the Lord Jesus Christ. Shekinah Glory Ministries is not a once off church but an establishment that is traceable and can relate to community issues and concerns. We do not just pray for people to be healed and delivered but we ground them in the faith and increase their knowledge of the Lord,” he said.

The church has a very strong online presence and do live broadcast most of Apostle Mohlala’s services on Facebook, YouTube and other channels.

Mohlala said he saw the raw talent displayed by Nkambule in the promotion of the service which attracted over 3 000 people at Bosco Skills Centre.

“We are not here to take from the people as a church but we are here to invest in their lives and part of the investment should be based in the growth of their personal skills. I saw what he was doing and as a prophet I was also able to see his faults and my role in correcting those faults. It is all up to him to do what he knows the best. In the church we do not have anyone who is better than the other. He is not coming in as a blue-eyed boy but has to do the work as because we to dare establish a branch in Eswatini, his presence will be very important. We are not afraid of anything and the devil knows that we are coming for everything that God has given His people. I believe that making the impossible, possible, starts by receiving His love. That’s faith,” he said.

Mohlala announced after the service two weeks ago that he was opening a branch of the church in Eswatini. He did not divulge details but stated that information would be made available for people through the media.

Trading as Apostle Mohlala Ministries, the church in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, is probably one of the biggest congregations in the province with up to 10 000 worshippers every Sunday. Other branches of the church are based in almost all the provinces in South Africa and some other countries in the Southern African hemisphere.
