MANZINI – &ontroYersi­al prophet, 9usi µMajor 9¶ 'lamini has reYealed that oYer mem bers left his church since the -une political unrest. 3rophet µMajor 9¶ as 'lamini is widely known is the founding pastor at Mountain of 6alYation church in Matsapha. 7he church thriYes in the prophetic ministry and commands a wide audience ranging from pow erful politician­s and e[ecutiYes to the industrial site workers based in Matsapha.

7he church is situated just after Mathangeni, about a kilometre from the junction to Masundwini.

7he hall carries a capacity of people and prior to the political un rest, it would pack up to people on a normal 6unday serYice. Most of the audience came for miracles and deliYeranc­e as 'lamini spends most of his time praying and prophesyin­g oYer their liYes.

µMajor 9¶ indicated that the church was doing well until the &29,' pandemic and the political unrest. He narrated that he was not aware why people left but suspected the effects of the political unrest and the social media utterances calling for a boycott on his serYices.

µµPrior to the political unrest, it would pack up to 2 500 people on a Sunday service. Most of the audience comes for miracles and deliveranc­e as Dlamini spends most of his time praying and prophesyin­g over their lives.

IDEOLOGIES

He said his political stand remained resolute and he supports His Majesty .ing Mswati ,,,, with all his heart because he belieYed that it was his *odly mandate. He lamented the fact that people wanted him to follow their own ideologies and further called for a boycott towards his church because he did not support their political Yiews.

'lamini said he was not aggrieYed but disappoint­ed at those who left his church after he dedicated his life in helping them oYercome their spiritual challenges.

³, spent my life helping people and some were getting paid by the church for doing work here, yet they easily left at the sign of just one minor hur dle. , paid salaries of oYer ( a month to the staff and still most of them left the church. , gaYe people money and they spit on my face. 7hey left me at my most Yulnerable position after milking me dry.

DELIVERED

³7hey took my money and some used me for prayer and when they were deliYered they left. 2Yer left the church and now we are be tween and people which is far less than what we used to be on a 6unday,´ he said.

'lamini blamed his downfall to un named political leaders and said they encouraged his brethrens to leaYe the church and follow their formations. :hen pressed to mention the names of the political leaders, 'lamini said he was not prepared to get into another fight with them and opted to mention their names off the record.

He said there was a concocted plan made by two politician­s, who wanted to take him down for supporting the .ing and his goYernment. He stated that the situation was Yery bad and he was only hanging by the thread.

³, know that it happens that in life you can get buried for doing the right thing. , had bazalwane congregant­s in the church and they left me and started talking ill of me forcing others to leaYe the church.

EVIL

³, haYe forgiYen them but *od will deal with them at His own time. My heart is in pain because , am a human being, but , know that the Lord will deal with these peo ple because of their eYil heart,´ he said.

He said he eYen bought cars for some members and paid their rent for others while he bought monthly groceries for some yet the left the church.

COMPLAININ­G

³7his is probably a lesson for me to neYer to trust people just as the %ible instruct me. , got to realise that in life we sometimes help eYen snakes and when they grow up they turn on you and bite your heel. $ prophet was giYen healing and not complain ing. Maybe we got it all wrong, we were not supposed to be a church but to pray, heal them and let them be as -esus did,´ h e added.
