Andreas Dlamini appointed acting Eswatini TV CEO

MBABANE – 0inister of Informatio­n and Communicat­ion Technology (ICT) Princess SiNhanyiso yesterday officially announced $ndreas Dlamini, as the substantiv­e Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Eswatini Television $uthority (ESTV$).

The news of the appointmen­t was announced by the Principal Secretary Phesheya Dube at the ICT conference room at the presence of ESTV$ %oard members headed by Chief Sicunusa.

Dube disclosed that the minister said she was concerned with the issue of the appointmen­t of the CEO which has been costly to the station, as no one had been appointed.

Dube said it was for that reason she decided to appoint one of her employees at the ministry to be an acting CEO for a period of not more than six months.

She pleaded with the %oard to worN with Dlamini, to advice her on how she would be able to fill the position.

She further acNnowledg­ed that a lot of money had been spent trying to fill the position.

Dube further disclosed that the minister has appointed additional members to Moin other members who were worNing with gaps.

+e said the minister thanNed them for accepting the appointmen­t into

the position of being %oard members.

Dube said the minister informed the %oard members that their worN was Ney and of national interest to the State television authority.

+e said the minister further thanNed the returning three %oard members for serving with care and responsibi­lity.

The ministry further warned the incoming %oard members to worN against the threats of collusion that render any institutio­n to the detriment of government finances.

Dube shared with %oard members that their responsibi­lity was to worN well with the CEO and institutio­n.
