Zoe Genesis opens up
“There is no pain greater than childbirth and that is the strength of a woman.” – Unknown. This is the last weekend in Women’s month and it is necessary to put a spotlight on the importance of females in society and in leadership.
As we close off winter and women’s month, I thought it was necessary to do my part in giving back to my sistersin-crime. As a token of appreciation to them and all women out there, my hibernation was cut short so as to express my gratitude to this delicate species. Women are the cradle of life and everything starts with them as ‘we all came from a woman’; with Jesus being the exception of course. This Sunday is all about appreciating the essence of women and discussing various topics surrounding gender issues.
First up; the Legend’s Lounge returns with a guest who has evolved from artist, to PR representative and now a mother. Zoe Genesis sat down with Style and shared her experience so far as a new mum and we also spoke on other issues involving women. A definite must-read as this will be the first time Zoe allows us into her parental world and how it has affected her life. Join us and witness the genesis of motherhood for this young liSwati and be inspired.
We also have our weekly book review with Mlondzi Nkambule and the Plug updates us on what’s trending on the Twitter streets. With Big Zulu having dropped a scorching ‘150 bars’ that shook the SA Hip Hop scene, heads/fans are watching the developments closely and urging their favourite artists respond. Ngabe iyozala nkomoni (what will happen eventually) as the Inkabi Nation has waged war on the SA rap elites.
It is highly commendable to see the youth take charge and immerse themselves in positive initiatives as this also develops their minds and gets them ready for a competitive industry.
Our arts industry is also growing in that it is not just music that is at the forefront, but locals are venturing into all kinds of art and this speaks to people finding it easier to express themselves.
Art can teach tolerance and in the state our country is in, it is crucial not to ignore things that build bridges and close the generational gaps that exist between us.
It wouldn’t be a complete weekend without a wedding spread and this week we have something special in store for you. Matrimony is not to be taken lightly and we have two individuals taking a leap of faith who have shared this experience with us. Not forgetting our young readers who can indulge in our cartoons or play a few games that will test their brains and keep them sharp. Enjoy what’s left of your weekend and remember, reading is fun-2-mental

of her musical prowess, but returns as a mother and caregiver. In the spirit of women’s month, we bring you Zoe Nonde popularly known as Zoe Genesis and she took us on a journey on how motherhood has changed her life.
We also got a chance to converse with her on a number of issues affecting women in all spheres and it was interesting to hear the growth in Zoe’s responses. This young lady is a person that needs no introduction so we got straight to picking her brain on this one-of-a-kind exclusive on the evolution of Zoe Genesis.
Here is what she had to say…
