Pick n Pay EFA national champs approaches
Gday dear reader. \ Football development is the fundamental business of the Eswatini Football Association (EFA). Since the launch of the Pick n Pay EFA Kick-off U15 football development programme, the player development cycle has been enhanced enormously. What is unique about this football development programme is the participation of the Eswatini girl child.
For the past ten (10) weeks, there was non-stop action in as far as this football development programme is concerned. All the registered players have participated, which is good for player development. Every weekend these youngsters were looking forward to the action under the banner of this football development programme. This project has played a formidable role as far as the development of the Eswatini child is concerned. Such initiatives are significant towards the socio-economic development of the country. The girl child has drastically improved her game since the first round of matches.
OOD Teamwork
They now know and understand the ‘basic laws’ of football, the significance of teamwork and the basic of playing the game. What is of utmost importance is that they are enjoying themselves whilst exercising at the same time, which is also good for their health. This is an indication that football is for all.
Today’s matches mark the end of the store leagues and the next phase of this first edition of this football development programme is the national championship, to be executed next month. During the stores’ leagues, the EFA youth coaches were selecting the best players (promising talent) who will form part of the pick teams to represent each store during the national championship. Each store will have a boys and girls pick teams. In as much as these will be picked teams, this will also enhance the development of life skills for the participants as they will find themselves having to play against new opponents and also having new teammates. Once again, thank you Pick n Pay for investing in football development and thanks to the other stakeholders for your different roles towards the successful execution of this football development programme thus far.
Till next week, football for and safe life for all. all
