National Motor Spares E30 000 sponsorship to MRFA

-

MANZINI – Automotive spares selling company National Motor Spares have pumped in E30 000 to Manzini Regional Football Association (MRFA).

The sponsorship was presented by the company’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Nkosinathi Dlamini, in the presence of Eswatini Football Association (EFA) President Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane and representatives of the clubs in Manzini yesterday.

Dlamini said it was a pleasure for him to present the sponsorship on behalf of the company to the teams. “It’s a great pleasure to stand here to present this sponsorship after the Manzini Regional Football Association sent a request to us,” Dlamini said.

He said as a company they saw it fit to give back to the community as sport was important since it kept the nation healthy. “By keeping the nation healthy and fit, it then promotes the country’s economy since playing soccer helps to prevent non-communicable diseases,” he said.

Dlamini also disclosed another reason that made them consider the MRFA’s request, which was that the Regional Football Associations provide players for the national teams.

ENCOURAGED

He then encouraged the teams to protect and promote the National Motor Spares brand as well as giving them the much-needed mileage for them to continue with the ‘marriage’ in the future.

Dlamini further said the sponsorship was for the 2022/23 season, but was hopeful that if the teams behaved well and promoted the National Motor Spares brand well, they would welcome them again with both hands in the future.

Meanwhile, MRFA Chairman Johannes ‘Ace’ Siboza thanked the sponsor for considering their request as they would see the fruits in no time. He also revealed that the MRFA has contributed eight players for the national Under-20 squad and six for the Under-23s, who are were playing against Botswana on Friday at Somhlolo National Stadium.

Eswatini won the first leg 2-0. Siboza then urged the clubs to desist from violence during games for the MRFA and National Motor Spares’ partnership to last forever.

Also, the EFA President said he was grateful for the partnership that was born between the two organisations as it would help in the development of the sport in the country. He also challenged clubs to give the sponsor the needed mileage by promoting them during games and through supporting them by buying parts.
