SITEKI - SOS Children’s Village, in partnership with Malkerns Valley Rotary Club, has successfully launched the Lusabeni Livestock Farming Project at Lusabeni, a community in Big Bend, under the Nkilongo Constituency.
SOS Children’s Village has recently reached out to offer their services to the community to ensure that members have sustainable livelihood.
Hlobsile Sikhosana, who is the SOS Children’s Villages Fundraising Manager, presented to the community members and KaNgcamphalala Chiefdom leadership of Lusabeni and Ncandweni about the new project that would be established in the community.
The over 100 community members warmly welcomed the project and applauded SOS for the initiative and further appreciated that they were selected as a new community where SOS would be offering their family strengthening services.
Income
Unpacking the project, Sikhosana said the Lusabeni Livestock Farming Project was a livestock rearing income generating project that SOS wished to successfully implement as it would benefit both the community and the children in the care of SOS Children’s Village under Alternative Care.
