Will Smith faces Oscars boycott Uncle Waffles homecoming show ‘breaks’ net

After a whole year since she last performed in the kingdom, Uncle Waffles has announced her homecoming for this month.

The DJ shared the venue in her poster, however, the venue host shared that they hadn’t signed a deal yet.

October 28 will see the internatio­nal superstar grace the land at a venue yet to be confirmed. On top of that, social media went abuzz when the star announced that two spots were open for new talent in the country to share the stage with her.

The DJ shared that it wasn’t up to her to choose the two lucky artists who will share the stage with her, but she left it all to the public to select their favourite artist.

On her Instagram account it read: “Comment with your favourite artists below, who do you think deserve the slot?”

The comment section within hours of the news breaking had over 3 000 comments and over 31 000 likes.

Locals jumped in and voted for their favourite. Some of the few who were mentioned were Mandisa Mamba, Miss T, Young Zesh, Amarii and AyaCity, just to name a few.

The voting process is still on and the closing date and time have not been shared by the artist or her team.

Born Lungelihle Zwane in 2000, Uncle Waffles is a young female DJ from Eswatini, but now based in South Africa (SA).

She also doubles as a TV host, social media personalit­y, and producer.

In her short career in the limelight, Uncle Waffles has been able to put her stamp in the industry and along with attracting a huge fan base.

Uncle Waffles has also gained recognitio­n from some of the biggest names in the industry including Canadian-born rapper Drake, who follows her on Instagram.

The artist has bagged numerous deals which include; Jagermiste­r and a residency spot at BBC Radio 1 in the United Kingdom and this is just two out of many.
