During the Standard Bank Luju Festival, Ezamaswazi performed live at the Galp Energy Garden stage catching the attention of many fun lovers with their Afro-Jazz music. Although it was their first performance in such a big stage, Ezamaswazi managed to fill up the Galp Energy Gadern stage with more fun lover’s who were vibing to their indigenous jazz inspired performance.

To describe their experience at Luju, Ezamaswazi labelled it ‘the greatest experience’. “Performing at Luju was the greatest experience, this is because we had fun and we connected with the people, it was great. This event has greatly opened doors for us and has gained us more love and support, people have

already started noticing us more” the duo said. The duo went on to express how the appearance had helped them in gaining courage going forward in their music career. “It has built our confidence and created a new relationship with our supporters, as it was our first time performing with a live band and the response we got was heart-warming. Luju is more African influenced compared to other events and Ezamaswazi mostly does African songs so the people and the atmosphere connected to what we are” the artists said. The artists further revealed that it was their first time doing a long performance but through believing and trusting each other as professional artists, they managed to put on a display that was loved by many during the show. “We haven’t done a long set in a festival before, but at Luju we were able to deliver with confidence and teamwork as we engaged with our audience properly, thus we can say that our performance was a showstopper since the crowd was showing us love and responding energy”.
