MBABANE - Local Hip Hop artist and MTN SWAMA 2017 Best Newcomer Award winner Flameboy Universe is currently cooking up sweet tunes with South African songstress, Chantelle Rah.

The artist mentioned how he met Rah’s manager in a studio in Johannesbu­rg through mutual friends and after listening to the sweet melodies that they were cooking up, he had to jump on the project. He also mentioned that he was working on plans for the South African (SA) artist to collaborat­e with more artists from the Kingdom of Ewatini. The talented songstress Chantelle Rah will be releasing her long awaited EP titled ‘This is me’. Following the great demand from her fans for a solo project after working with several critically acclaimed artists in (SA), Chantelle finally gave in to her calling.

“At some point in my life I had decided to leave music and concentrat­e on raising my kids, but the calling and love for music was just too strong” Chantelle lamented when speaking to the publicatio­n. In this new project Chantelle promises to bare it all emotionall­y. Her music is a daring, sensual and up-beat type of RnB that captivates the listener like no other artist has done before. “This project for me is going to show just how much I have grown musically. I will be talking about my emotions, fears and desires and holding nothing backwards” she said. The seven tracked project features production from the likes of the legendary ‘Seiso Tswakbaker’ and Mellow Mellow and features Eswatini’s

own Flameboy’ in a track called ‘Will it Work’. Get ready to be knocked of your feet with this raunchy and yet vulnerable offering to be released on October 10 this year. About Flameboy Universe: Born Sakhile Mavimbela, Flameboy Universe broke into the mainstream in 2017 when his debut official single ‘Nowadays’ dominated the airwaves. The song became the first Eswatini record to stream on Tidal, an online music streaming platform owned by Hip Hop mogul Jay Zee. It was crowned the third best song of the year 2017 in the then SBIS Top 40 of the Year Hits.

The artist released his debut album ‘Rich people’, which was distribute­d online by langalam.com. The album also had physical copies which sold out in early 2018. The young and ambition driven artist had shared stages with several local and SA prominent artists, and graced the prestigiou­s MTN Bushfire Festival amphitheat­er stage. He is currently working on new material, which will be released and published under SONY/ ATV.
