MSF first welcomed the working visit of the SADC Chairperson, Hage Geingob, who paid a courtesy visit to the King of Eswatini as he was new in the chairmanship position which was previously held by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The MSF statement had the following points made prominent:
● Withdraw the army from the streets and communities.
A deliberate commitment to the process of dialogue and negotiation.
Release of the two incarcerated Members of Parliament, Mthandeni Dube and Bacede Mabuza and all other

● political prisoners. Allow all exiles to safely and unconditionally return home. Agree to set up an interim Transitional Authority. A fixed time frame for the dialogue process will create a conducive and peaceful climate for Troika to prevail.
The statement further went on to request SADC to consider bringing a peacekeeping mission into the country during the period of the dialogue process.

“We are relentless in our quest to finding a peaceful path to multi-party democracy in Swaziland in collaboration with SADC. To date it has been exactly twelve [12] months since that resolution was made, and the King and the Swaziland Government have taken no steps towards the setting up of the national dialogue forum,” MSF said.
MSF, in the statement, advised SADC to allow the chairperson to conduct consultations with the King on the implementation of its decisions, but the lingering question is: How many of these consultations shall be held before SADC is decisive on the question of finding a lasting solution to the crisis in Eswatini?
