everyone is all good and delightful as we are approaching the festive season, just so you know, it’s OK that we sometimes indulge in entertaining activities, but it is important to look out for ourselves and be safe.

This is a lesson I learnt at a recent event in Manzini last weekend. As we welcome the jingles and bells this festive, I’m hoping we all rise with fulfilled dreams, new goals and aspirations for the New Year that is approaching.

To change the tone, I am deeply grateful that against all odds I am able to fight and press on regardless of other situations. The past week has been such a heavy one but full of motivation and wisdom as usual. Let me briefly tell you about the mysterious guy I met among the crowd this past weekend. So, this guy came unexpectedly and wrapped his right arm around my neck in the crowded and noisy environment, asking me to accompany him to grab a drink. Well, I aggressively refused, while unwrapping his arm off me while showing him where he can buy the drink.

Someone would ask, ‘why was I aggressive, this guy was just trying to locate the tap?’ I was aggressive because, while this guy was wrapping his arm around my neck he was unlocking my top left pocket on my jacket where I had E20. He was basically trying to rob me, while asking me where he could buy drinks. I just didn’t tell him, but I noticed what he was doing because he started to angry too, but I didn’t want noise, so I walked away.

When people come together to have fun, especially at night it is wise to be aware that not all of us have come to have fun, but it may to make a fortune out of those who may appear as not street-smart , hence earlier I had said we have to be safe this festive season.

Anyways, let’s get to our lucky box and discover what we have this weekend in our Gcwala section. If you missed last weekend events, especially the Miss Culture crowning, we’ve got you covered. In our pull out today you will get to discover three winners from Miss Culture, the Queen Lindelwa Maziya, the first Princess Nompumelelo Matsebula as well as second Princess Noncedo Mamba. They sat down with Gcwala and took their time to express how they feel about making it on the throne, as well as their plans for their reign.

They also passed words of wisdom to their colleagues who did not make it during the competition, to empower them in preparing for other competitions.

We cannot easily forget about the past weekend where South African music giants Young Stunna and Senior Oat thrilled fans in Manzini. To emphasise on that, we have more action to show in pictures as well as an explanation on why Kabza Da Small couldn’t show up for an Music Carnival that was held at Manzini Club.

You will also get to know what are the five favourite things of Mistosoul, as well as meeting our new DJ on our DJs Corner, popularly known as Nutty Soul. We will also serve you with our brand new features titled Things girls do that boys don’t like, as well our new second feature known as ‘Jam Club’. For the first feature I would appeal to the ladies to lookout to be thrilled, while taking notes of what to avoid and not do while with him.

On our second feature, you will be blown away by the sudden rise of local talent as we reveal the jams that have been just released in the country. Lastly get to know how a TikTok video got local saxophonist Zwile Bhembe overwhelmed by the comment section and reactions raked by the video.

Cheers to the weekend!
