I started preparing myself last year in August when I heard there was something called “Miss Cultural Heritage Eswatini” because of my love for culture I told myself I wanted to be the next queen, I told myself I want to teach young girls about my culture.
“I’m young ambitious girl, who is passionate about culture so at that time I had already started being invited in traditional weddings (emalobolo, umtsimba and kuteka) to perform my traditional dances, such as ingadla, kutsamba, tibongo and kugiya).
“Such that sometimes I had to leave the country into our neighbouring country South Africa.
“So I ended up gaining more support and encouragement from emaSwati and non-Swati. Their longing and excitement to learn about our culture was spread all over their beautiful faces.

“As I had started attending the traditional ceremonies such as Umhlanga and Incwala, this was my seventh year attending these ceremonies. “I had a friend of mine Nomfundo Shongwe, who would help me rehearse especially the King’s praises furthermore; I’m from an extended polygamy family, where our siSwati culture practised. I used to love it when in school they would ask questions about our culture, I wouldn’t hesitate to boldly explain it to the whole class” said Mamba.
Unlike the other contestants, she was not nervous at all but only determined to hear who the winner was. “I wasn’t nervous at all, I was on cloud nine, I couldn’t wait for the finals, I kept dreaming about them.
I always told myself I’m the next big thing with Zozibini Tunzi former Miss South Africa as my inspiration and Mahlosane. I’m a brown skin girl that is here to make a difference, on the other hand during the crowning every inch of my body was vibrating because of happiness, I was on seventh heaven, not only did the crown excite me but the fact that I made it, I’m going to make a difference in the country, people would know me because of my culture that hit my sensitive spot of happiness,” she said.
“This is a great achievement, it also encourages me to continue being proud of my culture my love for culture had been doubled, I just can’t wait to teach people about my culture, I can’t wait to put my ideas into actions,” she concluded.
“On the music video I worked with with Director Slen from Shicilela pictures who were the ones behind the lens, Thandekile Mavuso as a makeup artist and she also took part on the act, Ncamiso Dlamini on transport.
