Crossroads

-

/

,)( is truly a funny thing. When you think you have it all figured out, it throws you a curve ball. You find yourself caught again in spaces that require you to choose again.

That need you to choose between two good things and pray that you make the right decision. I always question God like why put me through this what if I am making a mistake. Fear is such an ugly emotion.

Growing up has definitely been one of the most terrible experiences ever no matter how good you got it the pressure is rather intense.

The responsibility of making life changing choices with the weight of the world on you.

In that moment, you even feel mad because every single scenario plays before you and as people we do not prepare we do not do the pros and cons.

RISK

We do not fast if fasting is what we need to go and ultimately we do not take the risk and what happens where end where we began.

What it means to be at a crossroads in life.

To be at a crossroads is a point in your life where you have to make a decision. This decision will determine which path you will take. Crossroads can be positive or negative.

They can be a time of opportunity or a time of crisis. We are struggling with our souls and we find ourselves making deals with the devil. The spiritual meaning of crossroads?

It represents the rising and setting of the sun and the human life cycle of death and rebirth. The centre of the crossroads is where the communication with spirits take place.

I like this illustration because this is exactly what it feels like a war of the inner self of sorts.

The turmoil that comes with making the decision even after you have made it should not be part of the process. I find it unfair and that is why during this time I have plenty questions for my God.

I really wish he would answer these questions for me. Like such decisions should be his. This applies to whatever you believe in you really need to let that spirit be your guide.

The problem is when you can’t hear exactly what that still small voice is saying.

The story goes that if you need something bad enough, you can make a deal with ‘Elegba’, or satan. You go to a crossroads at midnight and wait until he shows up.

SALVATION

That’s when you sign your soul away and lose your chance at salvation in exchange for whatever gift it is you want or need. It literally feels like this sometimes, most times actually you need to put one thing down to do another you can’t have it all.

Most times we want the fast fix so we make a transaction with hell. I guess this is the point I’m at or would like to stress what do you do when you don’t know what to do?

What do you do when you are at a major crossroads in your life?

Reconnect with yourself and your inner core.

Visualise yourself at the end of your life.

Invest in yourself.

Connect with bold people who go for what they want.

Don’t follow the conventional or ‘common sense’ path just because everyone else does.

Make the decision based on what you really want in life. You don’t make it based on what’s easiest in the moment or what has the least risk or even what other people expect of you. Instead, you do what’s right for you and let the consequences follow.

If you want to make sure that the consequences are ones you can live with then first focus on making the right decision.

Identify the decision. You realise that you need to make a decision. Gather relevant information. Identify the alternatives.

Weigh the evidence.

Choose among alternatives.

Take action.

Review your decision and consequences.

Once you have done this it’s time to find the peace in whatever you its have decided and stand by it. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace. Eating right, getting plenty of sleep, exercising, meditating, and practising what Potiker calls ‘mindfulness daily life activities’ can all shore up your mental-peace defences for when all hell breaks loose (in your world, or in your head).

TRUTH

If you are spiritual or believe in God, peace of mind is the experience of knowing the truth. Peace of heart is the experience of doing God’s will. There can be no peace of heart unless there is first peace of mind. I must know the truth before I can choose the true good, which is what God wants me to do.

In the words of thee BONE THUGS; Hey and we pray, and we pray, and we pray, and we pray

Every day, everyday, everyday, everyday

And we pray, and we pray, and we pray, and we pray

Everday, everyday, everyday, everyday

See you at the crossroads, crossroads, crossroads

So you won’t be lonely

See you at the crossroads, crossroads, crossroads

So you won’t be lonely

See you at the crossroads, crossroads

So you won’t be lonely

See you at the crossroads, crossroads.

Inner peace is defined as the state of physical and spiritual calm despite many stressors.

Finding your peace of mind means attaining happiness, contentment, and bliss no matter how difficult things get in your life.

I’m praying that whoever finds themselves at a crossroads also finds the peace to make the right choice and live with it.

Trust your gut feeling and know that it will never let you down. Consult your guides and stay in prayer it will work out.
