Over 300 at Yellow Epilepsy Half Marathon
MPAKA – The Yellow Epilepsy Half Marathon attracted over 300 runners.
This was according to the final results, which were released by the organisers of the annual race held this past Saturday at Mpaka, just a few kilometres away from King Mswati III International Airport.
Speaking to this publication, one of the organisers, Buyile Ncongwane, said they were happy about the attendance.
The overall winner of the 21km was South Africa’s Bongani Banda in a time of 1:13:44 hours.
Female champion was Correctional’s Thobile Ngwenyama, who reached the winning point after 1:41:40 hours.
Shining in the 10km event was Xolani Ndlela in a time of 30:12 minutes, while the female winner was Phiwokuhle Bulunga. The latter clocked 45:45 minutes.
The winner in the 5km was Correctional’s Sibusiso Msibi while Temaswati Mtfupha from the same club cruised to victory in the female category. 5km Pos
