Nokwanda secures SA radio gig

MBABANE – The sky is the limit.

Nokwanda Dlamini a liSwati, has secured a radio slot at one of the biggest radio stations in South Africa (SA), Ukhozi FM.

The show is called Sakhalikus­asa and since it’s the month of love, the theme is #Masithanda­ne. Its presenters are Tshatha Ngobe and Selby Mkhize, it is a segment aired from 4:45pm to 5pm on Tuesdays.

When reached for comment Dlamini said: “The theme for Tuesday was; what to ask your partner before getting married. The questions included;

“What are the most important questions to ask when you are dating; could ignored red flags cause problems in marriage and what should people take note of during dating?”

Segment

Dlamini went on to share that the show is a weekly segment, which airs every Tuesday. When probed on how the she secured the gig in SA, Dlamini said: “They saw my social media content and contacted our South African Office and requested that I feature in the show. I am now a full time marriage and relationsh­ip counsellor; I also offer pre-marital counsellin­g with my husband (Bakhe Dlamini) as well as family counsellin­g. My services are offered physically at our offices as well as virtually. Ukhozi FM boasts of a listenersh­ip of over seven million.”

The IsiZulu language radio station continues to lead as one of the biggest stations in the country, with an audience of 7.5 million listeners, an increase of 200 000 listeners from the previous release. The station is one of the South African Broadcasti­ng Corporatio­ns (SABC) Top 10 Radio Stations in SA.

The couple has also launched Yonder Worship Centre in Midrand (SA).

It was launched this past Sunday. When probed on how the first service was,she shared that it was an amazing service,and the venue was packed, which was a pleasant surprise because they did not know who would attend when the decision was taken to start a branch in Midrand.
