Pastors preach powerful sermons before King

-

LOZITHA – The Word of God was in abundance as pastors preached before His Majesty King Mswati III and the Queen Mother at Mandvulo Grand Hall yesterday.

Opening the pulpit, in the service that was directed by Reverend Nhlanhla Hlatshwayo, was Bishop Bhekibandla Vilakati, who challenged the nation to go back and search where it lost its track.

He said it was clear that the nation was not where it was supposed to be. He added that something was lost along the way and there was a need for all emaSwati to go back to the source in order to find what was lost.

Reverend Madudu Mabuza also elaborated that there was a need for the King and the people of Eswatini to find a solution to the problems faced by the country.

He referred to a scripture where a prophet had to go back to the source of a river of death which killed unborn babies from all pregnant women and children.

RIVER OF DEATH

“The prophet took a pinch of salt and requested the people of Jericho to show him the source of the river of death and when he got to the river, he prayed and commanded the water to be purified. The time has come for us to go back to the source and become the salt that will bring life where there was death,” he said.

The last pastor to preach before His Majesty’s sermon was Bishop Robert Kasaro, who read from the Book of 1st Samuel. Bishop Kasaro, who is also the President of Eswatini Conference of Churches, spoke on five pillars of unity.

He said a pillar ensures that buildings remain standing and, therefore, unity had pillars that kept it standing in a society.

“The five pillars include the pillar of vision. Vision keeps the people united and, therefore, it is a very important pillar for unity. There is also a pillar of truth. Lies can destroy even the strongest of countries so it is important to make sure that the truth of God remains standing. There is also the pillar of love which fosters unity, the pillar of peace and the pillar of humbleness,” said the bishop.

Bishop Kasaro further made a demonstration taken from the scripture where Jesus displayed His humility by washing the feet of his disciples.
