keeping his legacy alive is naturally our duty after all he has done for us, the colour he added to our world! The last time we worked in the country was for Hipnotik, where he launched his album and made a special appearance at the Swazi Plaza to see his Swazi Fans. “Forbes if you ever fall it’s a cannon ball”

“It’s very sad and devastating, looking at the fact that after years he was finally releasing his much awaited album. Eish! Why would you shoot at a person five times, it’s really sad, RIP to the legend of SA Hip Hop, rest well

“Eish ya, it’s bad, I received a call at midnight about his passing, and I couldn’t go back to sleep. I was with the guy two weeks ago in Pretoria for his birthday celebration, not knowing it was the last time, everyone who knows me, knows how much I loved him. I’m lost for words, but

I hope his family and close friends find comfort especially his daughter Kairo and mother Lynn Forbes. One thing his music will live forever and his social media presence will surely be missed.”

“AKA was a huge part of my inspiration for how I crafted my performances and I’ll forever be grateful. I watched him in awe every single opportunity I got. The biggest and best memory I’ll keep of him was when he met my son at a show and gave him undivided attention, talked to him and took a picture with him, it is still the only picture on his bedroom wall. I am shattered by this loss and will be praying for his family and friends.”

Mthunzi Shadow Zwane

“We have never worked with him but he was a talent that impacted a lot of our artists in the country. Every time we bring an artist from out of the country we hope our artists learn something from them in terms of stage presence, choreography, presentation or work etc. A sad loss to the Hip Hop community.”
