COVID-19 battle not entirely over
Madam,
any were shocked when it was announced that parliamentarians, Cabinet ministers, invited guests and everybody attending the opening of the fifth session of the 11th arliament are expected to have COVID-19 vaccine certificates. Some wondered whether this was a legitimate precautionary measure of a crowd control stunt.
I wonder who can travel town-totown and from one society to another giving people a penny for their thoughts on the fact that the battle against COVID-19 is not yet over. hy are we becoming so blind and forget that the pandemic is still in our midst
There are people in the kingdom who still forget to put on their masks or rather want to be reminded over and over again to do so. There shall come such a time where the virus is going to separate chuff from wheat; people who take responsibility from those who need to be pushed or pulled in order to make sense of this situation. Throngs of emaSwati, if they don t change their mindset, will fill hospitals and clinics beyond capacity.
This is the time where we need to work with government in mitigating the effects of the virus.
lready our economy is at stake, our sisters and brothers have their certificates under their sleeping mattresses. Some people got early pensions and some were told that there are no longer vacancies for them. The rate of unemployment is still escalating unprecedentedly.
This is surely unbearable!
Every cloud has a silver lining; no matter these aforementioned nerve-wracking effects, there is still a glimpse of hope that we can pull through. The Coronavirus is still here, hence we need to be healthy and safe from it at all times.
y trying often, the monkey moved from tree to tree without falling. e need to make sure that in spite of difficulties, we do not render ourselves vulnerable to the virus. y so doing, no lockdown of some sort will ever be looming; that would be so exciting!
