Love for pretty girls 2nd edition

MANZINI – Patrons had fun at iF’s Lounge during the second edition of ‘Love is for pretty girls’ show held on Saturday.

iF’s Lounge Restaurant and bar is a recently establishe­d entertainm­ent venue in Manzini at Moneni. Previously, this secured venue was known as Havana Lounge. The second edition of the show brought together local spinners to showcase their talent on the decks. The local spinners who graced the decks during this electrifyi­ng show included, ‘Do it’ hitmaker Mistosoul, Wacko as well as Teesto.

Local versatile spinner, Sbu The Drum DJ, was also slated to perform in this show, but did not attend. Informatio­n gathered is that he had a show in Nhlangano on the same night, which is why he did not attend.

The show was initially slated to start at 6pm, but ended up starting at 8pm with an intriguing Deep House set from local giant DJ Mistosoul. By this time, there were very few fun lovers in attendence as they started flocking in at around 10pm. Mistosoul played soulful vibes which warmed up the show while some patrons were coming in to enjoy themselves. He played for an hour and a handful of patrons available during his set, appeared to be enjoying his set as some danced and while others enjoyed their drinks. After Mistosoul had exhausted his playlist, versatile spinner DJ Wacko took over the decks at 9pm and added more energy in the room as more patrons made entry into the lounge.

DJ Wacko maintained the vibes by Mistosoul, as he continued to Deep House songs, which later transito Amapiano. Likewise, Wacko gave it on the decks attracting some patrons tothe music area with his interestin­g selection skill. Patrons danced no one was watching, local spinner kept givthe best tunes which their jolly mood. delivered

He finished the set at 11pm and handed the decks over to Teesto who made a bold statement from the start of his set by playing hit after hit. He played Amapiano and some of the songs included South African (SA) musician Aymos record breaking hit titled ‘Mama’ as well as Kabza De Small’s song titled ‘Rekere 2’. Teesto delivered a solid set and managed to keep patrons on their toes, boasting a captivatin­g Amapiano playlist that saw some patrons shouting and lauding him. When he was about to hit the hour mark with his set, local spinner 1D, who formed part of the line-up, was seen making entry into the venue escorted by Mistosoul. Teesto ended his set at twelve midnight to give 1D an opportunit­y on the decks. 1D delivered a Hip Hop set fused with RnB classics such as SA’s Mafikizolo.
