MBABANE – One of the 2023 Labour Law Seminar delegates will win a E10 000 annual free subscription for LexisNexis.

SITEKI – A soldier and a group of soccer players survived a hail of bullets after an argument ensued on Saturday evening at Sithobela Shopping Centre, next to Buy Cash Hardware.

According to a source who witnessed the shooting, the soldier and the soccer players were found relaxing near the hardware store as they were from a game at a sports ground situated under Sithobela Inkhundla.
It was established that the occupants of the car and the group relaxing outside the shop had engaged in a heated argument whose nature could not be ascertained.

The source mentioned that in the heat of the confrontation, one of the men went to the vehicle and came back with a pistol. He said the man fired about six shot at the fleeing soldier and the players, but none of them were hit in the process.

Khumalo had been asked if the soldier had reported the matter to his superiors and what could have prompted the shooting as well as the action that would be taken by the army.
Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Superintendent Phindile Vilakati confirmed the matter.
“Police are investigating a shooting incident that happened at Sithobelweni,” she said.
Meanwhile, incidents in which members of the security cluster were shot at have been widely reported in the country over the past two years.
